Welcome Friendly Frogs!

What an exciting day we had as each precious photograph that we had been admiring came to life as the "Friendly Frogs" visited their classroom for the very first time at Orientation!

The children were able to explore their new environment, meet their teachers and see new friends.

After enjoying the book "I Like Me" by Nancy Carlson and singing some familiar songs at Circle Time
the little frogs greeted each other by name. Then it was time to enjoy playing with our new friends. Many of us had lots of fun cooking and eating in Housekeeping. Mrs. Mundell was even invited for a piece of yummy pizza with all kinds of toppings!

Solving puzzles was a favorite spot, AND Mrs. Mundell and Ms. Wiltshire were quite impressed with their skills and strategies.

Decorating a birthday cake with jellybeans and sprinkles and then adding their favorite color candle was definitely a treat. It was most exciting watching the children share what they made with their classmates!

We all loved reading Audrey Penn's book "The Kissing Hand" about Chester the raccoon. The children used their "pincher fingers" to decorate their very own "kissing hand" with glitter, sequins and a special heart.

Then off to the playground and how exciting as we watched the boat quickly depart for Disney!

The sandbox was a busy spot!

On the Big Climber......

and under the Big Climber!! Wow, how cool is that?

Stopping for a little rest and a cool drink of water!

Next it was off to, what is that really big word? Yes, it is the Exploratorium. We made things with nuts, bolts and gears.

The town was quite busy with cars and trucks moving all about.

We are so excited! It is going to be a fabulous year for all of the Friendly Frogs!!!

See you at Back to School Night tomorrow, Tuesday August 28th at 7:00 P. M.
